Project aim: Gifted students have high performance capacity in general intellectual skills, special academic skills, creative and productive thinking, leadership skills, visual-applied arts and psychomotor skills (Davis & Rimm, 2004). As stated in Angel & Shute 2003 and Webb 1993, it has been determined that gifted children have problems in their adaptation to the social environment. Gifted children have problems with environmental issues; school culture, environmental expectations, peer relations are seen in such areas. They are described as extraordinary when compared to their peers in terms of their cognitive abilities, and this causes children to turn towards children older than themselves to make friends with them or to be inward. According to the Ministry of National Education Information Systems (MEBBİS) data, there are 48,106 general mentally talented students (gifted), 24,789 male and 23,317 female students, 1,167 of them continue their education in Gaziantep, including 643 male and 524 female students. When these data are analyzed, it was determined that the number of gifted students in our province constitutes 2.42% of the percentage of the country.  Our main goal in doing this project with our strategic partners is by examining the best practices in other countries in the education of our gifted students and strengthening their social skills; is to explore different aspects of individuals and to provide special education opportunities, to discover, guide, develop, and develop the human resources with above-the-ground treasures, to raise leading personal, social, entrepreneurial individuals who will contribute to the development and happiness of our country and the world. By presenting the Directorate of Strategy Development and the Ministry of National Education to the General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services, we aim to create a resource that will guide our students in strengthening their social skills.

Project Expected Results: Our primary goal is to raise people who can take care of the age by keeping up with the changes that take place in these days when technological developments are taking place that will make a significant difference in the lives of human beings every second we leave behind. In this regard, the development of social skills, which is shown as one of the development tasks of individuals, gains great importance. In the process of our project, it is aimed to develop and reinforce social skills of our gifted students (who have special needs), which constitute 2.4% of the society, which is our target audience, and to transform these skills into practice in different environments. Within the scope of project mobility activities, we aim to be maximum beneficial to our students with the advice we will prepare with the information we have obtained, by observing the practices made for strengthening the social skills of gifted students in our strategic partner countries.
